I hold to the idea that we are made of at least three things, Spirit, Soul and body. Soul is made up of our mind, will and emotions. While I am a big believer in pressing in to learn things of the spirit, such as healing, the prophetic, miracles, etc. it is important to be holistic, and well rounded. The ability to explain why we believe what we believe is critical.
“but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence”
1 Peter 3:15
In theological circles this study is called “apologetics”, miriam webster defines it as “systematic argumentative discourse in defense (as of a doctrine)”, or “a branch of theology devoted to the defense of the divine origin and authority of Christianity”
I call this section of the website “Think”, the section where our minds mix with the Spirit to bring truth. I think you’ll find some thought provoking content from great minds like Ravi Zacharias, and eclectic thinkers like Erwin McManus.
I’m not a huge theologian, but I recognize the importance of being able to rationally layout what I beleive.
